49-Frame/s by David Carette is a photo art project born out of a wish to document and record David’s unique perception of 49 individuals.
Shot within the same dogma / framework created by David, all 49 portraits are in black, white and the most expressive shades of gray - painting with light.
Each model was carefully chosen from life’s diverse tapestry or simply as the result of a chance meeting, sometimes fleeting, sometimes not.
Its result is an ‘ensemble’ of 49 conceptually + aesthetically harmonious portraits – revealing David’s own reading of the core and ‘regard’ of each model.
As a result, 49-Frame/s takes on a unique life of its own . . .
